The identity of the restaurant balances the elegance of the lean Art Deco signage of the great 1940s Parisian Dining Halls such as La Coupole with a sense of the modern and cool.
The depth of the night sky and the subtle illumination of the surrounding skyline give animation beyond to this velvety black interior. Lighting for the interior has been designed to point away from the glazing to make sure reflections are minimised. Deep, dark polished marble finishes and rough-hewn stone create an environment which gives a subtle and understated backdrop for both the food and the amazing views of Shanghai beyond.
